What's the difference between the Standard Core and GPS Pro Bundle?
What's the difference between the Standard Core and GPS Pro Bundle?
The Standard Core Edition includes the complete 4K Ultra dashcam with WiFi connectivity — perfect if you want elite visual evidence without GPS tracking. The GPS Pro Bundle adds the Integrated GPS Precision Mount, which continuously logs your exact speed (mph/kph) and GPS coordinates directly into each video file. This provides documented, timestamped evidence of your location and speed, which is invaluable for insurance disputes, false accusations, or legal proceedings. We recommend the GPS Bundle for professional drivers, long-distance travelers, or anyone who wants the most comprehensive evidence possible.
Is 4K really worth it over 1080P?
Is 4K really worth it over 1080P?
Absolutely. 4K Ultra-HD provides 4x the detail of standard 1080P HD. This means you can read license plates from much further away, capture facial features clearly, see street signs, and zoom into footage without losing clarity. If you're ever in a hit-and-run or need to identify another vehicle, that extra detail is the difference between useful evidence and useless footage. Many customers tell us the 4K resolution paid for itself the first time they needed it.
How does the WiFi feature work? Do I need internet or data?
How does the WiFi feature work? Do I need internet or data?
The IGN Ultra creates its own direct WiFi hotspot no internet or cellular data required. Simply download the free companion app (iOS/Android), connect your phone to the dashcam's WiFi network, and you can instantly view, download, or share 4K footage. It's perfect for quickly sending video to insurance companies or police at an accident scene. Transfer speeds are fast even for large 4K files. Setup takes about 2 minutes.
How accurate is the GPS tracking? What data does it record?
How accurate is the GPS tracking? What data does it record?
The GPS module (included in GPS Pro Bundle) is accurate to within 5-10 meters and updates every second. It records: exact GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude), current speed (mph or kph), direction of travel, and timestamp. All data is embedded directly into the video file and displayed as an overlay on playback. You can export GPS logs as separate data files for insurance or legal use. The system works worldwide and acquires satellite lock within 30-60 seconds of starting your drive.
How much storage do I need for 4K recording?
How much storage do I need for 4K recording?
4K video requires more storage than 1080P. We recommend a 128GB or 256GB high-speed microSD card (Class 10/U3 or higher). With a 128GB card, you get approximately 4-6 hours of continuous 4K front + 1080P rear recording before loop recording overwrites the oldest files. The G-sensor automatically locks important incidents so they're never overwritten. For maximum coverage, a 256GB card provides 8-12 hours of recording time.
Is the GPS mount difficult to install?
Is the GPS mount difficult to install?
Not at all. The GPS Pro Bundle's Integrated GPS Precision Mount combines the windshield mount and GPS antenna in one unit. Simply clean your windshield, attach the suction mount, connect the power cable to your 12V outlet, and route the rear camera cable to your back window. The GPS automatically acquires satellites within 1-2 minutes. Total installation time is 15-20 minutes for most vehicles. Detailed instructions and video tutorials are included.
